How It Works

What you can Win

When the chapel was converted, two beautiful homes were created; Capel Jerusalem at the front of the building and Jerusalem Vestry at the rear. The aim of the prize draw is to award the whole property (both houses) to a winner, drawn at random from all entries.

For the property transfer to take place, a minimum of 330,000 ticket sales is required. This takes into account the cost of running the promotion and a donation to Alzheimer's Society of £100,000.

If ticket sales do not reach the target figure, there will be a cash prize instead of the property. This will be subject to the costs of running the promotion and a donation to Alzheimer's Society. The cash prize will be 70% of ticket receipts, minus processing fees, legal, website and marketing costs. More details can be found in the Terms & Conditions.

Anyone over the age of 18 can enter the prize draw. Everyone who enters is required to answer a multiple choice question, which distinguishes this prize draw from a lottery.

Tickets are issued in 3 ways:

1) Tickets can be purchased for £3 each (or 4 for £10) Enter now

2) UK residents can apply for free postal entries. For more details read our Free Tickets page.

3) Everyone who makes a ticket purchase will receive a unique code (URL) to share with family and friends. When someone clicks on this URL, to make a ticket purchase, the ‘owner’ of the URL will receive a free ticket for the main prize draw. More details can be found on the Free Tickets page

Ticket Distribution

All tickets will be emailed to Entrants. Ticket numbers will be randomly generated and will be alpha-numeric. Anyone not receiving their ticket within 24 hours of purchase (or 7 days in the case of postal entries) should first check their Spam/Junk folders. If the ticket has still not arrived, they can email [email protected] to request a duplicate email.

Additional Prize Draws

There will be three additional prize draws for the ‘sharers’. Every time an entrant receives a free ticket in return for sharing their URL & generating ticket sales, they will also be given a free entry in a ‘Referral prize draw’. These will take place at the end of September, October and November with each one being drawn at random and having a prize of £2,000.

There is no limit to the number of free tickets anyone can receive – more shares result in more sales, more free entries and a bigger donation to the charity. It’s a win win win situation!

The Draw

The closing date will be 11th December 2020 and the prize draw will take place 7 days later, on Friday 18th December 2020.

The winner will be drawn, at random, by a representative from the legal profession. The draw will be filmed and the video posted on the website and social media. The winner will be contacted on the day of the draw and, once they have been notified, their name and county of residence will be displayed on the website and social media pages.

The intention is to sign over the deeds of the property within 6 weeks of the prize draw.

The winner will have use of Capel Jerusalem for a week over the New Year, to celebrate their win in style.
